So ein schönes Intermezzo

1989年，林碧戀女士創立了久光車鏡，從臺南一間小廠房白手起家，漸漸有了不錯的成績，再次買下新廠房後單純地想用藝術品來裝飾空間，在一場博覽會上遇見了李光裕的作品——《忘醉》，一見鍾情，就此跌入收藏的世界。與藝術交集後，忙碌的日常開始多了閱讀與看展的沉澱時光，更在認識每一件作品與藝術家流轉人生的過程中，對生命亦感嘆亦讚嘆，藝術確實有著非凡的力量，療癒眾生。

曾有一位德國旅人在道別時說：「So ein schönes Intermezzo！」，意為「多美好的短暫相遇」。Intermezzo，源自義大利文，為「間奏曲」之意，通常指戲劇或歌劇在各幕之間的樂段，或大型樂曲中較輕鬆的中間樂章。當時又驚訝又陶醉，喜愛古典音樂多年，從未想過樂曲的專有名詞，能形容著一段「短暫卻美好的相遇」。為了不那麼拗口，擷取了後兩音節：mezzo，定調了藝非凡，也裝載了我們對這個空間的期盼，一座單純為了分享藝術收藏而誕生的私人美術館。希望每個人的日常，都能與藝術擁有短暫美好的交集片刻。

So ein schönes Intermezzo

In 1989, the founder of Chris Cam Mirror Linda Lin established her own business from a small factory building in Tainan. Due to a gradual increase in sales, Ms. Lin bought a new site and wanted to decorate the company with artworks. At an art fair, she fell in love with Lee Kuang-Yu’s The Carefree Drunkard at first sight, and decided to devote herself to art collection. Since then, Ms. Lin has started to collect her thoughts via books and exhibitions within her busy life. She gives both praise and sigh to life after understanding every artwork’s meaning and the artist's turbulent journey. Art indeed has extraordinary power, curing all living things.

‘So ein schönes Intermezzo!’, a German traveler once said before farewell, means ‘What a wonderful serendipity!’ in English. The general definition of Intermezzo, an Italian term of interlude, however, is a short orchestral piece, often heard in between plays or acts of an opera; a light instrumental composition in the middle of symphonies. Never had Director of Mezzo Art Chen Ei-len, who is also the daughter of Linda Lin and a classical music enthusiast, thought that a musical term could be described as serendipity. She was excited and simplified the word by selecting the last two syllables, Mezzo, to name the museum. Mezzo Art, a private art museum with their expectations and the purpose of sharing art collections, exists. They hope a moment of serendipity in the arts can occur in everyone’s life.

一件作品到一座美術館，一個人到一家人的收藏

林碧戀女士不是擁有最多財富的企業隱形冠軍，但肯定是心靈最富足的收藏家。

她用30年在臺南鄉間以毅力、恆心和氣魄，在男人制霸的傳統產業中取得一席尊榮之地，但隱藏於總裁獅子心的氣魄下，她是內在無比浪漫溫柔的雙魚座。她愛美，不是表淺的容貌皮相之美，而是能夠直達靈魂深處，觸探人心幽微的藝術本質之美。

從2014年臺北藝術博覽會入手李光裕的雕塑作品「忘醉」，成為平凡單調生活中的第一件收藏，她的人生和家庭從此波瀾壯闊，遁入一個七彩斑斕的美麗新世界。短短4年之後，她再憑藉一己之力，臺南市因此橫空出現一座國際級私人美術館，附近市容為之改頭換面，各地參觀者絡繹於途。

這是從一個人帶動一家人投身藝術、從一件藝術品到成立一座美術館的故事。夢幻般的都市傳說，是最美麗的人間傳奇。

From one collection to an art museum; from one person to the entire family

Linda Lin may be not the most wealthy leader of a hidden champion, but a collector with the richest heart.

She received an honor in traditionally male-dominated industries for her perseverance, determination and spirit when cultivating in Tainan for 30 years. Under a lion personality, however, Ms. Lin is a Pisces whose inner mind is filled with romance and tenderness. She loves beauty. She loves the beauty of the essence of the arts, which touches her soul deeply and discovers the mysterious human nature, rather than facial appearances.

In addition, her monotonous lifestyle and family have become magnificent since she bought her first art collection The Carefree Drunkard, a Lee Kuang-Yu’s sculpture, at Art Taipei 2014. This art piece has indeed opened a whole new world. Four years later, Ms. Lin established an international-level art museum in her own right. The appearance of Tainan changed consequently; spectators streamed endlessly into Mezzo Art.

This is a story about a mother leading her family to the arts; also an art collection laying the foundation of this brand new museum. Nonetheless, an urban tale of fantasy is the most beautiful legend in the mortal world.
